THQ games from their THQ website can ONLY be DL'ed for a limited time period unless you buy a Extended Service [for extra 2 years of DL support].
So, you might wanna save, back-up installers, and all that mess.
I never tried buying a Non-Steam game from THQ Store - so, I don't know the details myself.

Anyone know how long re-download last if you DO NOT buy the extended service on a Non-Steam game from THQ store?

So, yeah - also, you might wanna make sure the game is on the list of game keys requires Steam or has an optional registering allowed Steam, as well - since many THQ games now do use it and that'll ensure you can always re-download, back-up your game, or whatever...until Steam folds.
