Blink Bundle looks to be a new one with a nice selection of games.

$1.99 tier
Sideway New York
Archon Classic
Gnomoria
Light of Altair

$4.99 tier
Blockland
Eldritch
Lilly Looking Through
Mutant Mudds Deluxe
InFlux
Hero of the Kingdom

Each tier also has a mystery game that will be unlocked next week, and when that happens each tiers price will go up $1. Considering Eldritch is kinda new and sells for $15 by itself normally...seems like an OK deal. Sadly, it is Steam keys only.

Games With Gold is has expanded to Xbox One. If you have Gold, you can grab the games even if you don't own a One yet. Just use the links to the web store. Xbox One games require that you have Gold to play them, just like PS+. Hopefully this leads to a better selection than we've had on Xbox 360 so far. For Xbox 360 games you just have to have Gold when you "buy" the game.

Here are the games for June:

Xbox 360:
June 1: Dark Souls
June 16: Charlie Murder
June 16: Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition

Xbox One:
Max: The Curse of Brotherhood
Halo: Spartan Assault

Today SSFIV and Charlie Murder became free on the 360 (with Gold).  Free is the only way I'll ever try a one-on-one fighter, and this one is exactly what I expected, which is to say the same damn thing as the last SF game I played--on the SNES in 1994 (SFII).  Prettier graphics, more characters, fancier stages, but still the same underwhelming thing.  I have more fun watching the characters beat the hell out of each other in CPU vs CPU than mashing buttons.  This one will come off my hard drive as soon as I need the space for something else.  Charlie Murder is like an icky recreation of Streets of Rage 2.  I like the idea of equipping gear and tattoos to boost capabilities.  But the execution is just too . . . underachieving?  I think I could have drawn better artwork, and I suck at it.

I know what you're saying about hoping for better "freebies" with the additional restriction on the XB1's Gold program.  But I must say that I don't like at all the idea of being hooked for life to anything in order to keep playing my games.

Just fyi, mashing buttons is exactly how not to play fighting games. It's also how to ensure that you'll hate them.

If the philosophy behind them didn't click over the last 20 years, trust me, it isn't going to now.  :P

But anyway, SSFIV is fuh-ree (!) on XBL for a couple of weeks.  Fans, do go grab it!  It's very pretty and very fluidly animated.

I kind of suck at SF. I don't know what happened, but apparently the skill of my youth vanished at some point. I used to win tournaments with friends when I was like 15, now I can't even play that download copy of SFII for more than 10 minutes without getting totally demoralized. I can still play some fighting games, but not SF for some reason. I've almost been tempted to grab SFIV at a few points just to see if I can't somehow fix that.

Maybe that's it.  Was I too old when 6-button fighters became a thing?  Maybe, but honestly, I never much got into the whole idea of single-screen, one-on-one fighters.  They just don't appeal to me, so I never stuck with one to learn good technique.

Yeah, you pretty much have to. Though I feel like SF is more stiff and structured, less fluid than others. Not necessarily in a bad way, just different. After playing a lot of Guilty Gear and such, it's just not something I seem to do well with now. But yeah, fighters require time and dedication ... I don't really have it in me either these days. I really tried to get into Blazblue, and I'll probably give the next GG some time, but likely not much beyond that.

Steam summer sale is going on right now. Couple good games are on sale that I wanted to point out:

State of Decay
$4.99, first DLC is $1.74, second is $4.68 (2nd DLC is only a month or two old)
Single player, open world zombie game. Focus on maintaining a home base, setting up defenses, and going on supply runs. 1st DLC adds a sandbox mode, 2nd DLC is focused on a military unit. I've heard the 2nd DLC is buggy and you should wait on it.

Risk of Rain - $2.49 FLASH SALE, only 6 more hours at this price
Roguelike platformer. It's good. Has online coop, but I couldn't figure out the one time I tried.

Also, Halo: Spartan Assault is on sale for $2.49. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT'S BAD.

I grabbed Wasteland 2 even though it's still in Early Access. Honestly, I've only played it very briefly but what I did experience was pretty awesome.

For those who aren't familiar, the combat is tactical turn-based. It's a lot like the classic Fallout games, except, well, the original Wasteland was the grand-daddy of Fallout! :P

I can't wait for them to finish it.

The 4th game in the Humble 2K Bundle has been revealed.

It's the XCOM: Complete Pack! (Steam and DRM-Free versions)

Quote
The X-COM: Complete Pack contains all five original X-COM games in one convenient package. Get the original X-COM: UFO Defense (also known as UFO: Enemy Unknown) and the sequel Terror from the Deep alongside their successors, Apocalypse, Interceptor and Enforcer.

*This pack does not include the 2012 release XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Speaking of which, if anyone wants it I have an extra copy. Just PM me ;)
