I ran on an elliptical the last two days.  Does that count?  Heh.

I ran cross country for a year in high school, but hated every second of it.  I probably should have tried out for track because sprinting was a stronger suit of mine than endurance, but in the end I was lazy and never did.

I really enjoy running and I also enjoy being really lazy. But yea, I'll go into these phases where I'll get back into running, I'll keep it up until my shins start really hurting again then I'll stop. I've been thinking about just running on my days off.

To start off I typically run 2 miles and work my way up more, but that maybe too much to start on because I think that's why I get shin splints so early.

I run on a treadmill for about 30 minutes once or twice a week (~2 miles).  I'm not a big fan of outdoor running since it's too harsh on my feet and I get shin splints.

I would run on treadmills if I liked it more, I hate just running in one place, I like being outside and running in parks.

Yeah, I have to do it outdoors.  I can sometimes go track, but mostly trail or road or else I get bored.  I ask because I challenged myself to crush a half marathon by the end of the year.  I slaughtered just over 16km today in just under an hour and a half, so I think that's a good sign I can do it.  Especially off four hours sleep....and hitting the gym before a full work day.  Oh, and a daily drinking habit...and over a pack a day of smoking. I figure I cut the smokes ande focus a bit more and I can hit the mark.

I do. I've been having some trouble with my foot lately, but usually I'm on the treadmill every day. I don't know why, but it's something I started to enjoy a few years ago even though I hated doing any long distance running back in school. Once it gets warmer I'll start running outdoors as well.

I'm a terrible runner, but I like the elliptical, when I can get access to one.  I can walk all day, though.  I like to walk as fast as I can stand it for about an hour, 4-5 days a week, weather permitting.

I usually run 1 or 2 5k's a year. My exercise is very on and off, I go through periods of running pretty frequently and other periods of not doing much. I generally run much more before I'm going to run a race. The motivation helps. Running makes me feel awesome after but it's brutal during the fact. I average around a 7-7:30 mile, more if I haven't run in a bit.

I really hate running, I work with weights much more than I run.

I used to be a sprinter. I love running in general but ever since I started my new job I've been stationary. I've gained 5kg just due to lack of movement.

So yeah.. Running is awesome. Free running? That is the world to me. Urban sprinting is the way to go. God I miss it. I'm a fat ass now!! ARRAGH!! How could I let that happen??!

Dude RUN!!

I've just started lifting weights, I should probably add in some sort of cardio too though.

I'm pretty sure I'm about to buy a recumbent exercise bike.  My friend has been hitting the bike since December and weight has melted off him.  he's down 40 pounds.

The older you get, the more you should consider doing just the opposite.  Do cardio, and after that works, start lifting some weights every other day.

Yeah, that's where I am.  I do want to do some lifting, but I am completely out of shape.  I'm going to do cardio for a couple of months and then start adding in the lifting.

I used to run and lift weights daily but stopped about a year and a half ago because I got busy and never put it back into my routine. I just tried to go running this morning and it was embarrassing how much stamina I've lost.

I'm 32. I don't know whether or not to consider that as old or not. I really don't, unless I start to think about the lack of accomplishments in my life... then 32 with nothing to show for it does seem old.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of week 4 of a 5 week lifting cycle. 3 days a week, more add more reps each week, then drop back down and add weight after week 5. I'm already feeling better. I feel like I've got a lot more energy and don't get worn out as easily.

I also started dieting about 4-5 months ago. In that time I've lost 55 pounds.
