Just got back. I thought it was incredible. I'm not a fan of the actor that played General Zod, but he was decent in his role here.

I really have no complaints.  It is dark, but personally I prefer the darker comic book movies.

I just got back from seeing it. I saw it got mixed reviews but I still went in with hopes of liking it and I came away very satisfied, thought it was great. There was one thing that bugged me but everything else was awesome to watch.

Overall it was good. I liked it. But it could have been great. Had some really awesome moments etc., but the last 40 minutes was too long.

I liked the Krypton stuff (even though it was goofy) more than the rest of the movie. Umm yeah, I didn't like it, too many plot holes and things that made me go "mmkaaayyy"

I thought the fight sequences were ridiculous, which is a problem with the nature of Superman. He's basically immortal, and when his enemies are the same, it's pointless to punch and throw eachother around. Also the amount of destruction was a bit ridiculous. I thought the early part of the movie before he cleaned up and donned the suit was much better and more interesting. They should have played the emotional angle more, focusing on his struggle to fit in and to protect humanity at the same time.

Though I guess that would probably stray too far from the comics and piss off the comic fans.

I agree with your assessments. I don't think it would have pissed off the fans. I think they overcompensated for Bryan Singer's last Superman movie but going too far in the other direction.

It became mindless.

There was definitely a stark contrast between the first and second halves of the film. In the latter half the dialogue was minimal and abrupt, it was all action.
