EA allowing returns on Origin.

Your move, Steam.
Quote
The new Origin Great Game Guarantee works like this: You may return EA full game downloads (PC or Mac) purchased on Origin for a full refund--within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within seven days from when you purchased it, or within the first seven days after the game's release date if you pre-ordered it (whichever of these conditions happens first).

If something doesn't work out—you aren’t riveted by the storyline, or sucked in by the action, or even just if the game doesn't play well with your video card—we’ve got your back.

Requesting a refund is quick and easy. Just visit your order history and click the “request a refund” link next to your recent purchase, answer a few quick questions, and we’ll take it from there.
Ok so its only for EAs own games so far, but thats probably the bulk of the games on Origin anyway, right?

Too bad I can't return Battlefield 3. Bought it at launch, runs like shit on my system.

I wonder how many will buy a EA game, finish it, & then return it - no matter if they love it or hate it.

Well since you only get 24 hours from when you first run it, you would have to power through the entire game in one sitting to return it in time. EA may be able to check if you've beaten it (end of game achievement, perhaps?) and then deny a refund. Plus they would keep track of refunds on your account. I bet if you end up returning a lot of games like that they would flag the account.

I would be surprised if they didn't think of these "loopholes".

That's all good and dandy.

My question is: will I be able to get refunds for duplicate copies of games? I have two copies of Crysis 2 (basic Crysis 2 and Crysis 2 Maximum Edition) and two copies of The Sims 3 through various bundles I had previously bought and registered in Origin which I would really love to unload and streamline my library.

I'd be interested in either getting refunds for them, trading them, or gifting them to friends.
