Topic: I'm curious, due to some conversations tonight. Who of you have been in love?

Pretty simple question.  I'm really just curious.  I've known a lot of people who have never been, and that baffles me from my own experience in life.  But we're all different people.  So just be honest.  Have you ever or have you never?

I don't think I've ever been "in love" as an adult. Like iPPi, I've always been preoccupied with something else and never invested into seeking long term relationships. Sure I've had my share of infatuations, but otherwise I find it hard to relate to what others describe as being in love (movies, books, friends, etc.).

I've been in love once. I was with the girl for basically 4 years. It ended around two years ago and I was pretty bitter and cynical about women for a while.

Maybe we need some definition then?  I've had a good many more girlfriends and encounters than that.  I've also been smitten once or twice while I was married, but I was determined not to cheat.  (I never did.)  I once had to play possum during the advances of a sister-in-law.  (That was weird; I wanted it to go away; I acted like it never happened, and it went away, thank God.  It was difficult because I really liked her.)  But I narrowed my answer to what I considered real love between two people.

I couldn't tell you.  Although, I will say that I have loved a lot of girls in some capacity for very very short periods of time.  Have I ever been in love?  No idea, but I've certainly said it.
