It feels like President Musk and Fuhrer Trump are out to destroy the United States and maybe the rest of the world. How are you all holding up? Every day feels like another crazy episode.

So update on Tunic... I'm going to put it all in spoiler tags because one of the keys to really enjoying this game is going in cold with zero knowledge about anything and avoiding online hints.

I'm essentially at the end of the game. I figured out The Golden Path and opened the mountain door. Now I'm basically just trying to collect all the fairies. It looks like I can go share knowledge with the Heir or fight it and I'm going to try for the former. I tried fighting it for fun to see how I'd do and wow it is hard. Much harder than any of the other bosses, which were tough.

I do have to say I didn't especially like the game transition when you first meet the Heir and are killed. It goes from having a bunch of combat and going through sections to almost zero combat and extreme puzzle solving. I adjusted to it with time but it hit like a ton of bricks. Almost like it became a different game.

It's a heck of a game and I definitely recommend anyone check it out.

I recently switched an old ThinkPad that couldn't take Windows 11 over to Ubuntu and have been experimenting with gaming on it. It plays Civ V from Steam just fine and I discovered Heroic Launcher (for GOG and Epic games). I bought and have been playing Tunic.

It plays, technically. I had to lower the resolution a bunch, turn off AA, and turn of shadows and depth-of-field. Intel graphics, curse you! Works fine with my 8bitdo SN30 Pro gamepad. People say it has a lot of Zelda influences. I see it a bit in the combat, but I feel more Metroidvania vibes from it honestly in terms of the world exploration. I'm still pretty early in the game. It's pretty good so far!

Ufo 50, eh? Heard about it and saw a video on YouTube, but I never watched it. I'll check it out, I'm guessing like its Cheetah Men or something?
